First of all it is not only a Pop Up blocker what you need!!!! You have Spyware!! It is just as annoying as viruses, and just like viruses the best way to get rid off all of them my friend is definitely to format your hard drive and re install your Windows, or Mac if that is what you use... Let me tell you when it comes to viruses every Anti Virus out there removes only some viruses, not all of them!! I don't really trust much on anti virus, but I definitely do not download stuff from the internet unless it is songs... It is not that hard to re install windows, but you have to back up all of your info before doing that!! Read the manual that came with your PC for better instructions!!
Hope that helped!!!

Look on the internet and download the free trial of Ewido Security Suite. Hopefully this will take care of your problem. If your confident and capable, you could also go to hijackthis and try clean your computer that way ( you can get lots of help on the internet!) Symantec usually publishes specific tools to rid yourself of unwanted visitors (go to their website)
A good online scan is Trendmicro's Housecall.
I hope that you don't have to uninstall your operating system to clean it! Good luck!
Once you do get rid of it, you will need to have security measures installed so that this does not happen again! You will need the following:
A firewall (Zonealarm)
An Antivirus (Antivir)
Spybot Search and Destroy (use advanced settings and download blocker with immunity)
Adaware
Regseeker (cleans your registry and is fairly safe)
You could also install a toolbar for blocking pop ups, if you don't have one on your computer already (google or yahoo, but I suggest that you opt out of the "advanced" Google toolbar, as it is spyware in itself)
This should take care of your security needs, even if you have a security threat!

Yes, you can use Firefox in the future from www.getfirefox.com which is much safer and harder to get spyware in the first place.
For the current infection, I recommend Avast Antivirus (free) from www.avast.com and also Windows Defender spyware protection program at www.microsoft.com/spyware
With both of those installed, do an update and then a full scan from each. They should help to remove the virus.
Avast can perform a system scan at initial boot after installation, which I recommend you do.

go to the following site, register (signup, create a username and password), and go to the "security" forum (under "forums") and click "post new thread" (or "start new thread") whichever it says (upper left),
and post your problem in there. .
someone will be along before to post back instructions to help you. .
here's the site:
http://www.techguy.org
this is an excellent site (many of the people who help you on there do this for a living as well). .
and it's all FREE!!!!!
They have helped tens of thousands of people get all the garbage off their computers, and they'll help you too.
I'm sure they are very familir with any virus or spyware you are having a problem with, and they'll tell you what to do to get rid of it.
Good luck and God bless you.

Rule one, never open a pop up!. It sounds as if you are riddled with spyware now. Firefox has a pop up blocker.so does the google tool bar. Run Trend micro's "Housecall", it might rid the nasties for you.

hi, there are some virus with your IE browser, and the virus hack your IE. i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:
