I'm looking for the best value--low price travel as well as a time in which i can enjoy the trip. I don't want to travel at a time when the weather is too bad to see things and do things. I would also like to know about some must sees/gos from both an archaelogical standpoint and a modern culture standpoint.

Around Greek orthodox Easter (it's one week after the catholic Easter). At that time you'll be able to visit big cities like Athens or Thessaloniki without being annoyed by the horrible traffic, because most of the people will be outside the cities celebrating easter plus the weather is not so hot at that time.
Have a nice trip.

Best time to travel to Greece is in the spring or fall. Nice weather not to hot and not to cold. Just don't go in the winter. I was over in Greece in the winter for the first time last year. Many of the older homes don't have enough heating units and boy, do you feel the cold going through your body. In Feb. it dropped down to -10C in Athens. Winter is Not a good time of year to travel to Greece.

Early June is the cheapest. I was there for about 3 weeks last year and it was amazing. If you are there for a short period say 1 week... Do only the islands may be 2 - 3 Santorini, Paros, Naxos.Crete alone would take 1 week.If you going to the peloponese make sure you go to Monemvasia for a day or 2.. Its beautiful. Go to lonelyplanet.com and post a query. They are really very helpful and knowledgable.

If I have been you, i might pass to Thailand. it rather is plenty greater low priced than going to Greece. i've got on no account been to Greece and can choose to pass, yet from my many stories in Thailand. it rather is greater nicely worth going to Thailand in case you like to work out super seashores, clean water, no longer a super, yet superb night existence, and enormous custom (history).. Thailand is secure.. i've got on no account had any issues there.. Bali is a huge place to pass.. or replaced into.. i haven't been there in 3 or 4 years via fact the golf equipment exploded via bombing.. yet on the time it replaced right into a sturdy place to pass, yet I nevertheless might've chosen Thailand over Bali.. i think of you will possibly extremely take exhilaration in Thailand. Phuket is staggering.. expenditures have long gone up a lil via fact the tsunami in spite of the undeniable fact that.. Pattaya is via some distance the terrific.. Bangkok is enormous besides.. Koh Samui is a huge place, yet i'm not sure approximately being single there.. I took my lady chum there and had a blast.. even though it seems greater like a hotel form place.. i desire this helped.. have exciting with whichever place you determine!

You can visit Greece all the year.Besides the classical, summer tourism, archeology etc. it is very nice coming in Greece in winter time.Greece has a lot of high mountains and it's perfect for skiing. There is a great development in very nice hotels and resorts on mountains. For example, a great place is Parnassos mountain (its beauty is outstanding) and it is very close to Delfi.
Whenever you decide to travel in Greece you are going to have a great time there, it is going to be unforgettable, remember this!
Have a great time in Greece!

I have been to Greece twice, and I can honestly say that the worst possible time to go is in the Summer. Their weather is HORRIBLE then (this includes the end of May through early September.) I enjoyed my weather the most when I went in April. I think this is a good month, although you may have rain occasionally (although this is normal there.)

All the time is the best time to visit Greece. But you should visit there on 30th of February. When there is 'Hotels Day' on that day they give free service and you can get the rooms 70% cheaper.

the best time for any travel is when you can afford to take the time without worry about spending too much or missing a duty or work elsewhere. If you must worry, do not go.
