Hong Kong was a British Territory but was turned over to China around 1999 and is now led my China. It's still a great place to visit.

However, the big kong does continue to make shiploads of worthless Plastic gadgets for food chains as well as electrical appliances with brand names no one has ever heard of. the people do work for pennies a day and profits are funneled into China's Military machine.
