A real man sets aside his selfishness to care for his family. A real man avoids temptation to honor his wife. A real man takes time from his day to love and teach his children. A real man focuses on improving his community, helping strangers in need, and standing firm for the things he believes in.
A real man will take up arms, and perhaps pay with his life, to defend all of these things.
A real man will pass from this place to another leaving many lives touched by his presence here.
That is a real man.

Oddly enough, most people's ideal of a "real" man is completely fictional.

No one has that sort of supreme confidence 100% of the time. Or no one has the right physique and maintains it all his life. No one is clever and able every single day. And if he were, he'd have other malfunctions to make up for it.

There's a term in yiddish, a mensch. In doesn't mean , "a real man" in terms of machismo. It means a real human being, a genuine person, a stand-up guy.

What is a real man, what is a stand up guy? Some one you trust. Someone who has good values and principles and lives by them, without being too rigid to admit the possibility of change. A balanced being.

There is no real man in terms of what he is. A real man is what he does, and what he doesn't.

A real man is a set of traits. A set of responsibilities. A set of principles. It is how he combines the differences, and contradictions of life.

A standard list of what a real man values:

Integrity
Focus
Family
Truth
Information
Hard Work
Imagination

It is how a real man combines and obeys priorities and deals with problems as they arise.

Yes, this applies to what a real woman is as well.

In essence, it is obeying common sense, and being intelligent.

Who created man in the first place? It was Jehovah God. So to be a real man, the man must make an effort to follow God's instruccions of how to be a real man.
An example: How can one tell if their dog is pure breed? One must see if the dog matches the description of a pure breed dog, descriptions stipulated by a higher authority.
So to tell if a man is a real man, one must see if he makes an effort to match what God stipulates in his Holy Bible.

I'll tell you...a real man is someone that gives off a primal vibe. Someone who is self confident, masculine by looks and takes what he wants.

It is an attitude. The opposite of being a wimp or weak in personality.

To me it is just a label given. I know that there are anatomical differences within men and women, but there is really nothing else that is different. We are all people and we all feel the same things. There are many conditioned things that try to push the sexes into opposite spectrums, but we are the same.
