You get married for social reasons and you discover that life is sweet together and that, even if love was not the real motivation for this union, this is what you feel now... Do you believe it is possible that it turns into a real love story? Have you heard of a similar experience? If yes, please let me know...

yes I saw it in a movie too and the funny thing is that it was about a french man (the Grrreat Gerard Depardieu!!) and an american lady, and guess what....I am French..but hey, I'm not in a movie and cannot fast forward to see whats gonna happen at the end. I guess I have to be patient and hope that a little angel will tell him that this is love, even if he doesnt realize it yet...

In the old old days, people entered into arranged marriages and did their best to grow it into a good relationship. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. The question is, why would anyone marry for "social reasons" today? If you're thinking of doing that, think again. 2 out of 3 marriages end in divorce and most of those involve people who are actually in love and so have something to cling to.

On the other hand, if you've already done the deed it's too late for that advice. Now is the time to attempt romance retroactively. Do nice and romantic things for your partner and try your best. For advice on that I'd suggest watching Don Juan DeMarco together to start the conversation of what you want out of a relationship.

Yes, but it really depends on the aspects of everything involved.
My mom met my step-dad when I was 3 and my brother was 1. He was in the army. My mom was at a pretty bad place in her life. She was in an abusive relationship with a married man(mine and my brother's father), and she had little or no money to support us. My step-dad married my mom less than a month after they met. It was a marriage that benefited all of us. He was 40 yrs old, and didn't have a family, and we needed one. He got a pay raise, and all of us were covered under military insurance. It was hard for them the first couple of years, but everyone wound up happy. They are about to celebrate their 23rd anniversary.

Ever read the life story of C S Lewis (the guy who wrote "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"?) No marriage is a "fake" one. But you can grow to love a person. C S Lewis married his wife over again because he didn't love her when they first took their vows.

I know alot of people who got married because of their parents' arrangements (yes usually older people) but they have made lives together that I know they cherish. So yes, I believe love can grow from something that you didn't expect.
