Except for Kelly Clarkson, did any of the other winners actually deserve to win? Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Carrie Underwood all suck. How Taylor Hicks won over Chris Dougherty is beyond me, because he's the crappiest one yet. Im going to support IdolHaters.com from now on to challenge the producers' claim that it has no effect on the outcome.

Although it is not my personal taste in music, I would be lying or deaf if I didn't agree that Kelly Clarkson is the most ( or only ) talented in the group.
This last guy, I don't get at all. Even the Ford commercial he made annoyed me.

Kelly was definately the best, but Carrie Underwood is also amazing. Some people however are unable to appreciate all types of music, but Carrie is extremely popular as a country artist. Even if one dislikes country music, they'd have to be deaf to not realize her talent.

I agree with you that Kelly Clarkson is probably the only one whose sustained longevity in her music career outside of "AI".
Carrie Underwood dominates the country charts, but for those who don't listen to that particular genre, might not even hear of her.
That'll change if she decides to make a crossover like Shania Twain/ Faith Hill; I don't think will be happening anytime soon.

I personally think Kelly was the best one, but I'm sure people who prefer different types of music like different winners. I really wanted Chris to win, but my brother liked Taylor, and he won. I still don't care for him, but I think he did deserve to win. He does have a good voice.

Kelly was deffinitely the best, but Clay and Carrie were pretty good too, and even though I didn't like her to much Vonzell Soloman was pretty good too.

that entire show is a joke . they find people with little or no talent , and then pick a "winner" ............
what a farce !
they could find much more talented people in any major city in America .............but they won't .
the judges are quite the opinionated losers ...........
and people willingly watch this tripe .
i vote for some real talent , and better judging !
