You need to speak to a lawyer in your area right away if you think you may have a claim against a doctor or former doctor.

Yes, but it might be pointless. If youre suing for malpractice, and the claim arose BEFORE she lost her license, then her medical malpractice insurance will kick in and cover the claim. But if your claim arises AFTER she lost her license, you can ceratinly sue, but for what? Theres probably no insurance, and whatever judgment you get, youll have to try and do a background search into assets (accounts, houses, businesses, etc.) and attach the judgment to those assets. That can be a pain in the ***, but worth it if the doctor has assets to lien against.

Anybody can sue anybody for anything.. if she's already lost her license you have a better chance of winning than against a doctor who's still practicing. Call an injury law firm where you live and run it by them, it'll be free for most firms and you find out what your odds are pretty quick, they don't work on a case unless they smell money.

of course- the license doesn't mean that they were not still liable for negligence - better hope she still has malpractice insurance in effect if you want to collect anything...
