Jaws, I still have problems simming in the ocean. It is the whole idea of being eaten that scares the hell out of me.

This is a really tough question. I've been watching "scary" movies for over 40 years and not too much scares me. But a few that did at the time would include The Exorcist, Halloween, The Howling, Psycho, House on Haunted Hill, and even Jaws to some extent. (Swimmming in he ocean suddenly lost all it's appeal after I watched that movie).

The Ring, but only the first time I saw it. I was just scared. I don't know why. But I've never been so scared of a movie than at that one.

ET scared me when I first saw it but I was a little kid. I wasn't scared but quite intrigued with the Movies Saw and Saw 2. Very impressive and captivating.

I have to comment on someone who mentioned the Blair Witch Project. That was the lamest movie ever. Sticks and rocks and snot coming out of someone's nose is not scary. The filming was horrid though. That movie insulted my intelligence and stole my money. I still want my money back.

Halloween/Michael Myers...the older ones. I think it's the mask because you can't see his eyes...i don't know I just hate him. White noise was sort of creepy (except the end) because it is still something that could very well be possible. I guess you could say that I'm afraid of the unknown. Oh my god and just like stereo said...Blair Witch project!!!! I wouldn't go camping for a few years after that freaked me out!!!! But overall Michael Myers scares me the most...I know he's not real but just the look of that damn mask is wicked. My fiance has that mask and he was waiting for me outside the bathroom one night with that thing on, that was so mean!!!!

Nighmare on Elm Street. I was probably a little too young to see it when I did, but I loved it. Scared the puhjeezus outta me. Especially when the girl goes back to class after her friend dies and she falls asleep. Then she goes out the class and sees her friend in the body bag being dragged down the hall. Ewwww creeps me out. But a classic scary movie!

Fire in the sky...at least I think that's the name of it. It's about a guy who gets abducted by aliens, and it's based on a true story, or supposedly...anyway, I watched it at a friend's sleepover when I was 12 and never got over it...

There's a scene where the guy is naked hunched under a table and maple syrup pours off the table and into his mouth and he starts going into convulsions...

Now I know why I don't like syrup.

Alien.. The build up of suspense was great, but the surprise elements really did me in.. and the Alien was fantastically designed.
