How does it work? Does it eliminate the ovulation process? Or does it block certain hormones? Thanks

cons of the pill:
can cause weight gain in some..
migraines
leg pain
high blood pressure
breast tenderness/pain
can decrease or even increase sex drive
If you smoke it can cause cardiovascular disease
irregular bleeding/spotting
Depression



i use seasonale..i like having a period every 3 months..its nice

They work through hormones and they CAN stop your period if you dont take the recommended break between pill packages and start immediately on the next package. As far as I know there is nothing wrong with doing this on occasion but dont make a habit of it. One disadvatage for sure is that you have to remember to take it the same time every day and that can be hard to do.

1] Difficulty in getting pregnant

2] No protection from STDs

3] Getting so accustomed to a lighter, less painful period you'll never want to get off the Pill
