My boyfriend is in the wedding party so I want to look as good as him without going formal. I don't want to wear black because he'll be in a tux. It's an outdoor wedding in the evening (6:00). I'm usually pretty savvy with these things but I have to go shopping before saturday to find something and pinters would be great. Remeber, just as hot as him without going formal. Help!

No body will expect you to be as formal as he is. There are pretty summer coctail dresses for evening wear still out there and maybe even on sale by now. Watch the heighth of your heals since you are outside..if your skirt is midcalf, you can get away with a pretty pair of dress sandles. Play up your assets, look for a color that is flattering to your skin tones, have your hair in a soft, special hairdo and go light on the jewelry. You will be comfortable, ready to celebrate and will look amazing!

Think evening wear. This would still suggest "fancy" without going formal. It's still summer, so light, pastel colors will be appropriate, and contrast in a stunning way with his tux. I'd go with a long skirt or dress, partly to stay away from the "party girl" look and as much for the possible chill in the evening.

Would you consider a pastel pants suit with a colorful blouse? If you do, look for a jacket with inside pockets to minimize the need for a purse or handbag.

Remember, even though you want to look hot, your role is as supporting cast, not lead actor.

This is not a formal wedding? Then I would shop at banana republic for something or else ann taylor, and you can get in on great sales right now in the skirts. You might want to think about how cold it is going to get around 8ish because the sun will start to go down.

6:00 and outdoors can still be considered appropriate time for "garden" or "tea" dress - not floor length, can be above or below knees. Dressy, but not formal. Don't ever wear black to a wedding - it indicates you think it should be a funeral. Also never wear white - only the bride gets to (if she wants to). So try major department stores.

Wear something very classy. Wear something that have the same color as the wedding party to match up with him. Make sure the dress fits in all the right places so he can only look at you at the wedding.

Are you sure its not a formal wedding? I wouldn't walk in with a sundress on when everyone is dressed formal. You can't go wrong with a black cocktail dress

A great little sundress with heels, and a more dressy coverup. (Like a shawl)

Worn with the right accessories, sundresses are really nice. And they're always good for weddings.

I think the black dress would be great, and you could always dress it up with accessories, that always does the trick, oh yeah a be comfortable.
