its perfectly fine. my sis in law was a vegetarian when carrying both my niece and nephew and they are the most beautiful and healthy kids i know. as long as she is getting what she needs from her diet as far as nutrients are concerned shes fine. good luck and dont worry too much.

Yes, but it will be harder, because she needs to make extra sure to get all the protein she needs. Which will mean eating lots of protein combinations like beans and rice. And taking vitamins should be extra important also. And eating all of the veggies with iron. I'm sure she knows what foods will help her get the things she's missing by not eating meat.

Iron is extremely important during pregnancy and meat contains the highest levels of iron. A supplement may be used but most of it is not absorbed. ALWAYS ask your doctor what is right for mom and baby

Yes, but she needs to make sure she's getting enough protein from her diet and she should be taking a prenatal vitamin.
You can check with the doctor for recommendations.

I've known plenty of vegetarians and vegans who have had healthy babies. It shouldn't be a problem at all. Just be sure she takes her prenatal vitamins.
