From the reports the french balked at almost every facet of the truce plan. And wouldn't give in until they got their way pretty much. So why are they not supplying more then just 400 troops? Is it because of the lack of escargot in Lebanon?

Although they are leading UN troops into Lebanon most of the French have probably ran away

No being of sound mind they are just not willing to pay for Israels folly!
They know that those basket case Israelis cannot be counted on to keep their word. So they just dont want to commit suicide by being in between the two factions.

lol I KNOW!!! so im not the only one .. THANK GOD!!! I guess they chickened out ... or they realize the magnitude of what they've gotten themselves into ... or like any other political institution, they lied ... or they've come to terms with the fact that this is NOT a permanent truce.... I could go one for hours.... but I won't bore you...

They have only commited 49 troops to date...but it really only takes one to hold up the white flag.
