I am sickened by some of the clothing(lack of) that some girls wear out in public these days. Years ago women were crying about being viewed as sex objects- but look how we are letting our girls dress! I wonder how many sick men look at them. I am not trying to be ignorant, or stereotypical, but this is agravating to me. I am still looking for some school clothes for my daughter that are not mini skirts, crop tops or ultra low rise jeans!!! I understand that the pop artists are wearing this type of clothing, but is this what we want for our children- to be leered at by some sick-o??? Thats exactly what is happening - Not so cute anymore huh??

You're absolutely right! I completely agree with you like you can't imagine. ;) Anyway, don't despair, there are some normal ones, like me if I do say so myself, who don't mind going casual chic or ballerina style or something just simply modest. Just go shopping for leggings, tights with knee-length skirts, leg warmers, long sleeve shirts, etc. I trust you know what to do, though! I'm sure this is just some rebellious craze that's going a bit global and it's going to pass sometime. People will be tired of showing themselves like meat and will eventually learn and evolve into more modest people. This is fashion. It always changes sometime. People will get bored and will also realize that, with the increasing rate of the rape issue (no surprise here with what some wear), modestly feminine clothes are best.

Thank you for asking this question, and so well, and thank you for taking your time reading my answer to it. :)

I know where you are coming from. I know that they say If you can wear it flaunt it. I think not! Women should care about how they look in public. I am 19 a model and I sometimes don't want to wear certain type of clothes even that I have the body. I wouldn't want any strange man coming to me ask if I am a slut or something because that is the ideas women are giving men better yet young girls dressing to be old that's nasty and I think it needs to stop.

My advise Women need to cover up more

I feel the same way you do...especially about the older men checking out younger girls. I've seen it happen plenty of times and it offends me greatly. And not to mention that a lot of young girls look like young women too which has got to cause some confusion.

Thank you for being one of the few decent parents left! My ex sister in law allows my 7 year old niece to walk around with practically nothing on. She is only 7! What is this world coming to? I understand sex sells but should we really be selling that to our youth?

Totally agree! Target, Mervyn's, Kohl's, all have clothing that isn't too "out there."

I am the mom of a 15-yr-old daughter and understand your feelings!
