I have one of each..must say my daughter is higher maintenance,but it was about equal until she became a teen ager..Once she started working it leveled out too..

You dont buy things to keep a child happy, (but boys are cheaper to keep happy, they can play outside in the mud for hours. That does not cost a dime.)

I don't have any boys, but I would imagine everything is probably equal until they hit 14 or so. Then I can't believe boys are nearly as expensive as girls. They have to have things for their hair, and make up, and 15 different out fits to wear, and, if all that doesn't run ya broke, buying toilet paper will.
