people act like victims because they get attn. Some are "addicted" to this feeling and feel sorry for themselves. They could also be using that as an excuse to remain "stuck," where it is safer than to take a chance, to take a step forward. I feel some actually enjoy being the victim. However, they fail to realize that they are captives in their own minds and that people do not have endless amount of empathy and patience and eventually, they win the disrespect and pity of other folks. To overcome, one must not wear the "Victim id" as a badge and one must try to move morward, take a risk, act in the face of fear & stand up in defiance of whatever caused them to be a victim. That's my thoughts....
