sex pistols.

the sex pistols changed things, and made a bigger impact on true punk than any other one band. most people who know anything about punk, will tell you that listening to 'never mind the bollocks' changed things.
the ramones are great, legendary as well, but they didn't change music. their goal was to make white rock...and take out the blues.
the sex pistols goal was...to stir sh!t up...they started a revolution as far i'm concerned.
sure sid had no clue how to play bass, but so what...that was the point of the "i don't give a f**k" additude.
the sex pistols were the first band to define punk, and pretty much the only famous one to do so.

Ramones. Sex Pistols sucked.
Here's your history lesson for the day:
The Sex Pistols were created the same way as any boy band. A business man decided to put together a band to make money and hired young kids who looked the part. Talent didn't matter, obviously, as none of them could play. Hey, anyone remember Johnny Rotten appearing on Judge Judy? Is that was punk was all about?

At least the Ramones never took themselves too seriously. Their music was also better. They found a formula and stuck with it.

I do love the Ramones, but there a lot of other artists who I think were better: The Beatles, Dylan, Talking Heads, David Byrne, Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, Squeeze, Buddy Holly, Alice Cooper, just to name a few.

Sorry.... my English is bad. I'm Brazilian.
Ramones are sentiment and diversion.
Pistols are rage.
I like both, but Ramones is predominant.

Thanks
