I believe in it. It is like a balancing act. It is only in the perception of the viewer weither it is good or evil. I heard this story once where this woman was beheaded by a man. They were both reincarnated again and this time around they were married and she completely broke his heart. She had no idea why she was doing this. She didn't really want to hurt him. She just kept finding herself breaking his heart. The woman went to get hypno-regression therapy and that is when she found out that he had her be-headed in another lifetime. This was their balancing act to get rid of that karma.

Moral of the story: She was breaking his heart and most people would percieve this as bad. When you figure the whole scenario, we find that it was all just a balance.

In the most scientifical fashion that I can determine, exuding energy into the whole of the cosmos, increases the amount of energy by 'x' amount. By increasing the energy of the cosmos, you are in fact improving it (or destroying it, if your energy is negative). An improved cosmos is a desirable state and you will benefit from it!
