I had to read that twice. Yeah, you may have a point! What's going to burn his gullet more than anything else is to have to pass the mantle on to Hillary while Bill stands in the background with his classic catbird grin on his face.
Maybe we can push through a "No Politician Left Behind Act" and fund it with a tax on sanitary sewer systems.

Yeah, a thank you card would be appropriate. (A thank you card for keeping our country safe from terrorists since 9-11)
Congratulations on being "assured" of the White House in '08.

But doesn't it seem like that whoever gets it in '08, that they will be the "bad guy" by the end of their term and will be considered a disgrace to the country like both Bush and Clinton have been treated? Whether they are deserving of this classification or not, it seems like with the proliferation of "deep investigation" that is so rampant now that dirt can be dug up on anyone. Maybe we just know too much about what's going on, it seems.

No, he didn't. He would have assured us the White House in '08 if all of the other Republican politicians agreed with and supported him, but right now many of them aren't.

the dems KNOW how the republicans have a style of applied ridicule for anything they don't like-
Win at all costs- even lives if it means being the "winner" - although what that means in realty when it's only an "ego -win" for thier "cult of personality" - it isn't a "win-win" for the USA -
but lately- Dubya has had such low polls that it is becoming popular in the GOP to show distance from W so there may be a shred of hope of getting a few votes-
yes- the neocon "way" is to "shoot your lawyer friend in the face" as it were... problem is, it just looks worse and worse over time -

"He pretty much assured us the White House in '08!"
I thought you were going to Scandinavia with Larry!
Nevertheless, since your crystal ball works so very well, can you tell me for each of the next five business days which stock I should buy each day? THAT would be useful!

The only thing we owe the conniving bastard is a vigorous flogging for the crimes he's committed against the Constitution and the incessant lying to the American people.
Future historians will write that the single worst tragedy to befall America occurred when the Supreme Court appointed Bush as "President."

The only problem I see with this is that people are all gung ho about Hilary Clinton being the Democratic nominee. Not that I have a problem with a woman as President but I don't think it'll happen and that will insure a Republican President AGAIN. We need someone other than Hilary if we want the seat. Not REALLY. The most destructive thing about the Dumbya Coup, AND THAT'S REALLY SAYING A LOT, is the destruction of the integrity of the electoral system. HAVA is a STEP BACKWARD, (like EVERYTHING else instituted by the Coup)from the goal of having EVERY vote count. We HAVEN'T BEGUN to solve this problem!!! Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

I hope you're right and I hope there is enough left to salvage. The Bush years have been the most damaging to this nation and the world. Never has one man done so much damage to so many in such a short period of time in the history of this country.
