I'd only give them about a 10 -15 percent chance. Not taking anything away from them, they have a very talented team, with a potent offense, that could easily go undefeated. However, with the Big East being weaker because of the losses of BC and Miami to the ACC, conference games, and strength of schedule could be a huge factor. I think they would get snubbed out of a championship spot if say two other teams, such as Ohio St., Notre Dame, or Texas goes undefeated. WVU would get a different BCS bowl, and it would all hit the fan again over a playoff system if they blew out their opponent. We've seen before, ya know?

Well, they certainly looked great in spanking Georgia in their bowl game last year. They play in the Big East, which of course is not a top football conference. I think WVU could be undefeated this year and end up in a BCS bowl. Can they win the National Title? Good question, it's all speculation at this time of the year especially. I don't think anyone really wants to play this team and if some of the other top teams like Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas, USC, Auburn, Oklahoma, Florida, etc, lose a game or two, why not WVU if they finish the regular season undefeated and win their bowl game against a "bigger name" opponent.

Id say about 65 %
Look at their schedule! Theyve got a great chance of going undefeated! Then u might say well their overrated, they proved that wrong last year. Thier offence is different and almost unstoppable with "the jackrabbits" Steve Slaton and Pat White who should have Heisman canidate years.

Not good, they are getting too much hype. I don't even think they will beat Louisville! Even if they do they will need only 1 other undefeated team left at the end of the year or they won't get then nod from the BCS.

Very good as they have a favorable schedule and the conference is a little weak this year. The key game is at Louisville. If they win they may very well be undefeated.

I think you'll get hosed on your strength of schedule. Heck, if Auburn can go undefeated in the SEC in 2004 and still get nailed for playing one 1-AA team as a last minute replacement on their schedule, then you will also have problems. Essentially, you have a two-game season.

Weak schedule will do them in. Only one other Top 25 team in their conference, and there's no one on their OOC schedule that's really of high quality.

They'll need a number of teams to falter in the major conferences to have a shot.
