I think your friend is jealous. If she says you're going to hell again, tell her you'll see her there.

Well actually if we're talking in biblical terms marriage isn't about going to a courthouse and getting a lisence. In the bible marriage is when God joins two people. According to God you are married when you join or make love. It's not just about sex though. It's about a joining of the heart. You can get married at the courthouse and it's legal but it may not be marriage according to God. You can also be married according to God and the world doesn't accept it because it's not legal. Then we get into the issue of "abiding by the law of the land" which isn't really an issue in this situation, but many Christians would say that it is. I won't get into all of it, because it's not important. What IS important, however, is whether you're going to heaven or not. My belief is that only you and God know that. The way you know it may be different from what I believe, but I'll tell you what I believe anyway. I believe you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and you'll go to heaven. If you believe Jesus is God and He was crucified and rose again to cleanse you of your sin and you invite Him into your heart then I believe you're going to heaven. I also believe that there is no sin that can take you from God's hands if you're saved. That doesn't mean you should try to sin. In fact your love for Jesus will make you strive to be free from sin. You WILL sin, but you do your best not to. Not because of fear of eternal damnation, but because you love Him so much. I REALLY hope that this helps.

I live with my boyfriend and we are not married. But we are born again christians and we are active in church and serve the lord in our lives. So i think that as long as you are saved and the lord knows your heart then no you will not burn in hell. But if you are having sex (i dont know if you are or not) while you're not married to him and you are not saved then it's a possibility. Not to mention that if you are having sex you might get pregnant and that won't be good if ya'll aren't married, it will be extremely hard! All sins are equal in God's eyes but repenting for those sins and God knowing that you are truly sorry is what matters. Your opinion of sin is between you and God, but in my opinion living with someone isn't a sin. But having sex is and i know how hard it is to not have sex when you live with your boyfriend. Be strong, eternal life is waaaaaaay better than sex! :)

I really cannot stand it when friends do that. I used to hang out with this one woman...we could go out on Friday/Saturday nights and she did whatever the hell she pleased...and why because she went to church on Sunday and it would wipe out all her sins. Whatever. People need to worry about how they live their own lives, not how everyone else does.

hatter! your friend should pay more attention to the bible if she is going to be tossing out comments like that! has she ever heard don't hate! basically don't judge that's Gods Job!! not hers! don't trip on what she says it is your life and as long as both of you are committed to each other that's all that matters!! live happy together!

Your friend has a very old-fashioned belief system.
Do what you think is right.
Remember that the existence of heaven and hell has not been proven, so we have to consider rewards and punishments as consequences to our actions.

Tell your "friend" to stop reading whatever they want out of the Bible and join the 21th century.

I think you're friend (?) is putting their beliefs on you.
If you and your boyfriend are happy then the next time your friend offers their opinion, tell her/him to keep it to themselves, next time you want their opinion, you'll ask for it.
Don't worry about it, you are not going to burn in hell.

I guess that person isn't really a good friend.

So your friend has never sinned?
