Depends on the species, size, health, and the space at the pet store. Can't hurt to check... Often times they may only offer store credit rather than cash.

Usually, if it is a smaller pet store, you might be able to get them to buy it or maybe even give you store credit. As far as bigger pet stores, they usually have places they get their pets from already and wont offer you anything for them.
