When I'm entering or leaving a public building, I always look behind me and to the front and, if anyone is approaching from either direction, I wait and hold the door open for them.
Most say `thank you' but a few just walk through and say nothing.
That's my little act of chivalry.

I try my best to keep it alive. It doesn't help when everyone just pushes and shoves their way around. Some women do not appreciate it either. They just think that a man wants something in return when becomes chivalrous. There are still some who like it though, so it is worth it.

It is alive and well with my husband. And he doesn't just do it for me. He will hold/open a door for other women too. I think it's great =) There *are* still some real men left in the world!
