President Bush today pledged 230 million dollars to Lebanon for reconstruction. The fact that money is being pledged from various Democratic and non-democratic states and church states simply shows the need to rebuild quickly and support the Democratic government lest they are pulled, out of necessity, into supporting the terrorists. This war was not the fault of the Lebanese people yet they bore the brunt of it. As it was not their fault it is as deserving of aid as they would have been had the destruction been caused by a natural disaster.

5:20 p.m.: Where things stand.
Lebanese turned out by the hundreds to sign up for aid from Hezbollah, which is offering rent money, reconstruction money and even money for new furniture in a campaign likely to win new public support. The Lebanese cabinet ordered the army to deploy southward but said they wouldn't try to disarm Hezbollah. The fighting has left nearly 966 people dead -- 809 in Lebanon and 157 on the Israeli side, according to official counts.

Why irony? Lebanon is an Arab state. It's normal that the Arabs help Lebanon. US is helping Israel. This is the reason for the wars to exist. They spend money for weapons, after the war they spend money for reconstruction. Somebody always make money, from war. But not the common people.

It's putting good money over a bad situation. Lebanon is not a democracy. It is firmly controlled by Syria and Iran. We must deal with Islamofascism to allow Lebanon to return to its glory from the 50's, and allow the region and the world to have a real chance for peace.

Unfortunately there are coffers being opened up to states whose leadership openly supports terrorist groups. While the population stays poor, underprivilaged, and angry (ironically leading them towards radicalism and to support of that same corrupt leadership), the leaders get comfortable and stand gleefully on the sidelines while victims and targets of these jihads are killed. There are two parts to every solution- the idea, and the action. Just as measures against Hezbollah are not set to be enforced, thus rendering the resolutions useless, so to are donations of moneys without seeing that it goes to the important directions (this is assuming that they don't want the funds to go to support terror) is not only useless, but detrimental to society and dangerous to our way of life.

There's just no winning from s***** ***** like you. Thank God you are not in our government. If you had an inkling about what is happening you would know that some democratic reforms are even taking place in Saudi Arabia and other locations. So just stick to your video games and shutup!
The world is not in black and white there are many shades of grey.

If they give it to Lebanon I have no problem with that. If it winds up in the hands of the piggy Hezbollah...that's a REAL problem to me.
