The odometer, computerized milage, engine temp control, and gas gage are not working! Does anyone know what the problem could be? The lightning struck while my car was off!

Could be a instrument cluster fuse. Could be a section of the fuse block. Could be melted wires. Could be a shorted out main computer board.

I would start off by checking every fuse in the car. Unless you know electronics and how to run an meter, any steps farther I would leave it up to a certified BMW tech.

BMW's are not forgiving if you do something wrong to them, specially in the electronics area.

one in a million chance. it could be a fuse, but if i was you, i would take it by the mechanic so they can run an electrical test on it and see what has happened.
also let them recheck your battery, to make sure nothing happen to that.
also if you have any warranties left on the car, take it by the dealer and let them know what happen.
