My friend and I fought and during we started getting nasty and she also said some nasty things about my mom and bro as they have never liked her in our 3 yr friendship and have been rude to her a few times and she has said a few things back. We stopped speaking a few days back 2 my mom's delight but we missed each other, she called and cried and told me that we were so close and she is sorry and that I knew that she gets angry and says things she doesnt mean but thanks to my family we can never be close friends, but she will always be there for me and wished me well, I might be going to the UK to study. My mom thinks its all fake but I dont think so. Our friendship was great until the episodes of my family took place, then the fights began. Anywayz would i be wrong if i wanted to meet her, I know she wants to as well but becomes nasty to avoid hurting again because of my parents and I dont want to hurt them over a friend. I am so messed up, it feels like I lost a sister. Help me please

Remember "Bend it like Beckham"? Jazz's parents were just as strict, but they were wrong. You said it all in your second last sentence "it feels like I lost a sister". If your friend means that much to you, your family shouldn't be interfering. Does she really lead you into doing bad things that your family despises? Or do they just not understand her? You HAVE to live with your family, no matter how nasty they are. Friends are people you CHOOSE to live with because you value them. Adults make choices all the time that don't please their families. But they make them anyway, because that is what it means to be adult. Exercise a bit of that adult Independence now, and make YOUR choice regarding your friend. Your family should be able to abide by your decisions.

it's ur friend after all, not ur families. i saw go out and see her, but don't get ur family involved. don't invite her over to ur house. go out to some neutral place. if ur parents ask u whether u saw her, admit that u did. tell him, she is important to u and they can't do anything about it. u probably don't like all of ur parents' friends but u don't stand between them , right? u sound like a mature person, so just show ur parents that u really r.
good luck and great for not giving up on ur friendship.

If you are old enough to go to the UK to study you are old enough to tell your parents that you are going to see her before you go. Tell them and then talk to her. She is your friend after all. I would let her know that you didn't appreciate what she said about your family though.
