Hyena, they are actually more closely related to the cat than to the dog, although their appearance suggests dog. The females can store the males sperm in her body until she feels she is ready to become pregnant. For instance, if it is in the middle of a drought and food is scarce, she may choose to wait until next year to give her pups a better chance in life.
