Diesel engines don't use spark plugs (the fuel is ignited by the heat of compression).
So the driver is either a fan of big rigs (which are all diesels) or is a suburban wannabe who drives a diesel F-250 because it is somehow more fun to take the kids to soccer practice if your truck rumbles, smokes, and is slow off the line.
