Your local YWCA or YMCA may have information. Also if your city has a public swimming pool, often in the summer when the pool is normally closed (early mornings) they give swimming lessons.

They have lots of things to do there,and someone would be more than happy to help you by answering questions about the different types of swimming lessons:)
