It depends on the setting. In a club, I prefer pants. At the beach, shorts.
A guy who demonstrates that he knows what's appropriate in any given situation is attractive. But a guy who wears a suit to a barbecue, for example, or pajamas to a restaurant shows that he's oblivious to the world around him and that's not attractive.

I say wear what you are most comfortable in. It does depend on the legs when it comes to shorts (unless it's hot out), if the legs are boney & knobby looking I'd say stick to pants. But if your legs are nice & maybe even a little toned show em off :)

depends on the guy, the shorts/pants and how well he puts the whole thing together. i have a friend who is more concerned about the shoes--another that likes only men without facial hair and as for me, depends on the guy! a great pair of jeans doesn't look great on everybody!

As long as the crotch don't reach your knees, It's all good. And as long as they aren't falling off. If you have to walk and hold your pants or shorts up. Well lets just say it's pretty sad looking.

If you have a good build and
nice man-legs, I like seeing
a guy in gym type shorts
and a wife- beater shirt.

But for everyday stuff,
a knit shirt, long pants,
with loafers.

slacks. Hairy legs don't work for men or women. As for the style and cut and fabric, style and cut really depends on your body type. I like a pleat front with a small cuff, but, that works best on a thin, tall man. Best fabric is whatever is suited for the weather.

To me it really don't matter, but if you are wearing shorts please tell me they are past your knees. I think it just looks nasty for a guy to wear shorts that come above their knee. If I had to choose it would be pants, but shorts look good too.

If the shorts are above your knee, then ew. But if you wear pants in summer, i'd think you were stupid.
