That can totally happen. I've been a professional bum since I was 12, so being pro has nothing to do with your age. Good luck, and I'll keep my TV tuned to Wimbledon to hear great things in two years!

It's certainly possible. By playing at school for 8 hrs a day... what do you mean? Is it like a tennis academy? I'm also 14, played for a year and am at the 4.5-5.0 level. I can tell you that getting to the pro level is some hard stuff. I mean really hard. If you dedicate yourself even harder than you are now, then the possibility opens up more. If you are serious about turning pro, I'd recommend going to the Nick Bollettieri tennis academy in florida. It's very good. Sorry, but if you're currently a 3.0-3.5 player and your bday is tomorrow, then you only have a year to get to the 7.0 level, which includes winning a lot of satellite tournaments. That's nearly impossible to do. Maybe 17? Happy birthday!

Certainly, there are young athletes in all different realms. Kerry Strugs (sp?), the gymnast in the olympics was really young, I believe she was 15 or 16. The Wie girl who's playing golf from Hawaii was really young when she started making a name for herself. And not to mention tons of athletes in other countries that are extremely young. It's totally possible, but it takes HUGE dedication!

Enter 10 tournaments in your age category. If your final winning percentage is 4/5 and your losing percentage is 1/5, your can start think serious. Otherwise, I don´t know, keep up good work and ask directions. Don´t leave school....

sure it can happen if you don't give up and keep practicing, but probably only once you get a little older, 15 i would say is still i little young for professional competition...

Take it slow. Please don't rush yourself. I can see that you have good potential but right now you are too young. I would exercise, practice, stay fit and you'll be a star in 5 years.

You have no chance.... zero! Don't fool yourself, your coach is just trying to build you up so you don't embarrass the team...
