can a manager give you a disciplinary if you have taken out a grievance against them?

Don't think so, that would be ridiculous. Check to see if you have a union if you are having problems, they can protect you (if not, your Hr office can)

Only if you do something wrong..Not because of the grievance

No they can't, but they can make your life difficult.
