When I install my speakers to the back forty. Can I run the weather proof wire along the telephone wire to save from having to dig and lay conduit for the first 60-80 feet? Or will I get or give interference due to inductance? The external Amp will be ~300 watts and I am installing 4 speakers.

The first 60 feet are mature gardens with very litte area to dig a small trench in a straight line.

It would be better to keep the speaker and phone wires seperate.

Perhaps you might consider installing a pole, across the garden from the pole the telephone line is run to? This pole could serve double duty as a place to put another electrical outlet, or even a light too. (or even install a speaker there?) You could, actually run the entire length of your speaker wire all on poles, to as far back as you wish to go....if you have a very large span between poles, I would recommend running a support cable between the poles, for the speaker wire to be lightly wrapped around.

Direct bury it as UF type cable. Just go buy direct burial type UF cable and run it.

Th reason I wouldn;t run it with telephone is that telephones are the most notorious for lightning strikes! The spike will induct through your speaker cable and blow your amps output module.

Remember that you do not have to use a "specialize speaker cable". I have run 14G UF cable all over the SE and it works great.

If you're talking about outdoor phone cable, I've seen it unshielded, which means your music could interfere with your phone line, if they're in use at the same time. Better to lay the conduit and speaker wire apart from the phone line.

laying the conduit is probably a better option and is pretty simple.just take a flat shovel and push into the ground, wiggle back and forth to seperate sod, then place the conduit in the split dirt.it dont have to be fer under.4-5 inches is enough.good luck
