LCD screen for my 360?

So, I'm wondering if it's possible to use any LCD computer monitor for my 360? Does the monitor have to be hooked up to a computer or can I just use it as a stand-alone monitor for my 360? Actually, can I hook up my LCD monitor to my laptop and use it as both a monitor for my laptop and the 360?

I'd have to say if it's got the right inputs it should work, after all a monitor's not much different than a television set!!!
