You should go to the local clinic. They are within there rights to ask for a Dr's excuse for your absence. Just tell the local clinic what you need and they can help.

You will find in the real world now the companies seem to be treating you as a minor just like school did. they are asking for a doctors note to prove that you were out and for what reason..
I would ask them what there policy is on this and then explain to them what you did and that you will follow there policy the next time. and that you were sorry...

They can request a doctor's note. Some companies require one after any absence, some only if you've been out a lot.
I would tell them you didn't go to the doctor, ask them what their policy is and explain you'll follow it in the future....

it depend on what your job is if your working with children or the elderly you must bring in a doctor's note, but the main purpose is to make sure your over the illness so that other will not get sick.

As stated above what is your company policies for sick leave? second does your company offer health insurance, if not you can always claim you could not afford to go to emergency room, that you where sick but could not afford the out lay to go to doctor's office, but the company policy when you became employed will be the controlling paper work
