If you don't have the time or inclination to write your own resume, find a resume writing service that will create a resume focusing on your strengths and achievements.
The resume writing service should ask you pertinent questions about your work history, desires, and specific job objectives.
Before you find a service, write down specific accomplishments and awards from each position you've held. Also, targeting a specific job will help the writer to formulate your resume in a way that highlights your strengths and accomplishments to show a potential employer why you're the absolute best match for the position.
Also, if you're going to hire a resume writer, I strongly urge you to also consider having a cover letter written. The cover letter will emphasize your strengths (in relation to the job you're seeking) and help clinch an interview with a prospective employer.
Remember, the resume and cover letter have to convince a recruiter or hiring manager (on paper!) that you have what it takes to best meet the needs of their business.
I wish you the best of luck in your job search.

Don't bother hiring anyone. A resume is a one page piece of paper containing information about yourself. Who better to write it than you? Just do some research into writing a proper resume. Don't waste your money.

Do it yourself (for FREE) from MS word which has inbuilt resume templates for making your resume.
You can also follow the step-by-step instruction to make your free resume, using the resume builder provided with MS office.
Resume styles differ according to profession, and sources of sample resumes are available in my profile, check my profile for more details, all the best :)

Look up sample resumes on Microsoft.com templates. Write down in VERBs what you can do. For example - DUSTED, VACUUMED hotel rooms. BABYSAT three children under age three. Write down your jobs, what time period you worked there and what you do did at those jobs using those verbs you wrote down. Also on a resume, put your education, certifications, etc.
Good luck, you can do it.

Do it yourself... hiring someone takes your personality out of it. It's not really hard to write one. Plenty of books and helpful sites out there.

I agree with arwy. . it's not that hard. I'd strongly urge you to do it yourself. .
otherwise it's gonna cost a lot and you're going to realize when they are finishing up making it that you could have done it yourself and done almost as good a job (maybe even better). .
there's so many books and sites out there that help you do it there's no reason to have someone else to do it. . .
Good luck and God bless you.

I've been surfing online more than 4 hours today searching for answer to the same question, yet I haven't found any interesting discussion like this. It's pretty worth enough for me.
