I know a site. It's free. You upload and mp3 off of your computer and use any part of that song and send it to your phone. The more people you have sign up through your link, the more credits you get for ringtones. It also gives you 4 free credits for just signing up.
1 credit = 1 ringtone.
Go to my link and click the first box that says Myxer Tones and sign up.
I promise, 100% free.
(It's my boyfriend's myspace. My phone is in the process of being switched to his service company)

Well this service at www.freeringers.net is not entirely free it costs $8 a year for four phones and you can download as much wallpapaer, real ringers, or polygraphic ringers you want. It's easy for real ringtones you just read the directions and send them to your phone with a text message. If you don't know how to do the ringers feel free to email me at t_o_r2009@sbcglobal.net and i'll help you with this service.

Verizon is obstructing the skill to acquire loose cellular content via mms or wap on their community now. So the workaround is to acquire the cellular content on your individual pc and then pass it on your telephone.
