Just use bronzer. It's safe and you have control over what you want to highlight.

Best I've seen this summer is the moisturizing lotions with gradual sunless tanning in them -- like Jergen's Natural Glow or Dove Energy Glow. You just use it like you would your normal moisturizer (so much easier than the sunless tanners that can leave you w/ streaks or missed spots), but over about a week you'll notice a little bit of color, like you got a little bit of sun (minus the wrinkles!). I'm getting married in two weeks and have been using it to get rid of my tan lines and give me a little color -- it's great!
I've also tried the airbrush tanning at salons / spas. It's pricey and you have to strip down for someone who sprays it on you, but it looks very natural and works in hours vs. days.

There are lots of options. California Tan makes a great self tanner called Suddenly Summer. They also sell make-up (bronzing powder). You can get it from your local tanning salon.
Tanning beds are no worse for you than natural sun, just don't over do it.

Have you tried a spray-on tan in a salon? It looks pretty natural if done right.
But my word to you would be: Acceptance about oneself starts with color of skin.

I would stay far away from the tanning booths and fake tans..it's all not good for you and you will end up looking like an ethiopian. I suggest hard work outside is good for you, youll get a tan then.

I use Jergen's skin darkening lotion. You apply it daily until you achieve the color you like. It is a natural color and not the orange color you get from other lotions.

try Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer....in 7 days you will have the color you are searching for. there are 3 kinds: for light skin, medium skin, and dark skin. You only have to put it on once a day, and its a great lotion, keeps your skin moisturized well.

Real tanning, like from the sun. Not from a human oven where you grease yourself up and bake yourself.
