He who has the money has the power. And until we take the power - and the money - away from those who have it, nothing in this country will change. We are a nation full of hubris, arrogance, avarice, and selfishness.

Those who control the country aren't the people we elect. They are the billionaires and multi-billionaires who pull the strings and allow the puppets like George W. Bush do their dirty work. The people in control are the Dick Cheneys, the Donald Rumsfelds, and countless others who have no name or face among the American populace. They're the owners of the Federal Reserve Bank, the major credit card companies, the largest banks, the huge oil producers, media conglomerates, and movie studios.
These people must be eliminated if "we the people" ever expect to get our country returned to us.
Thomas Jefferson once said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." That time is way overdue.
But as long as "we the people" sit on our duffs and don't do anything, nothing will change. Like lobsters languishing in a pot of lukewarm water, we're "comfortable" and won't start screaming until the water starts boiling over.
The reason 1000 super wealthy people make all the political decisions for 300 million Americans is because WE allow it. We don't vote; and if we do, we continue to vote for Republicans or Democrats, which is like voting for Hitler or Stalin.
Not since 1992 when Ross Perot won 19% of the popular vote did the American people take a stand and flex their muscle. That scared the hell out of career politicians, and they've not hunkered down, entrenched themselves with big money, and vowed never to allow the "people" to have a say in how this country is run - ever again!
The U.S. Constitution allows us the right to bear arms against a tyrannical and oppressive government, but we won't do it until things get so damn bad that rebellion is the very last resort.
Then it will be too late. -RKO-

No, but your a republican right? That mean's your getting what you want, what do you care?
I think your numbers are a little off too...
The wealthiest 1% control 90% of the country's wealth...
(1% is a lot more than 1000)

I think i'd rather have the people who go out there and earn money make decisions rather than the ones sitting on their a$$es collecting welfare checks, blaming the 'rich' people for their lazyness.

Oh, stop complaining. You have your vote. Use it well, then deal with the results.
