Pizza is flat and easy to transport, you can stack like 10 pizzas on the back of a motorcycle, and doesn't spill or suffer that much during transportation, I guess. But in other countries you can get deliver for McDonald's and Burger King, as well as most fast food.

I think it is because pizza takes so long to make, the drivers have time to deliver a few pizza while more are making. But fast food is just that, fast. It may take only 5 minutes to make one order as opposed to 20 minutes to make one pizza. If you have ever had to wait on your food at McDonald's the longest you normally wait is 2-6 minutes, so the McDonald's would have to hire 4 or 5 delivery people as opposed to Pizza Huts 1. It is total economics.

When you live in a huge metropolis like Los Angeles, just about anything and everything is deliverable from a restaurant or cafe. (organic food, Indian cuisine, Thai cuisine, sandwiches)

The only drawback is: there is a minimum delivery amount of check and usually a restriction on how far the delivery can be driven from the locale of the restaurant or cafe.

Pizzas don't seem to have these two restrictions.

Also they are easy to keep warm in those marvelous boxes which are designed specifically for them.

I think because they are so fast and easy to make. They have an assembly line, and it's pretty much always going to be the same thing, just different toppings. With other foods you could have so many different orders that it would be a lot more difficult to do. I know a lot of other places that deliver though, especially chinese or sandwich places. Still not as popular I guess though...so yea I'm gonna stick with my first answer lol. =]

the familiar order at a pizza located at a pizza place is plenty greater advantageous than at a speedy nutrition place, so the added value to offer the nutrition is often no considered a considerable element of shoppers. to illustrate in case you order $30 funds worth of pizza and that they value you $5 to offer it extremely is cool. yet once you order a $5 meal at McDonald's and the value you $5 for transport you would be dissatisfied. The transport quotes might might desire to be an identical because of the fact it'd nevertheless a same hard artwork and gasoline to get the nutrition on your place.

Pizza is cheap, transports well, constitutes a complete meal to many people, and is very simple to make. Even bad pizza is good at times, but delivery burgers could be HELL!
