easier to wash and maintain! white do not fade when thrown into solvents to remove paint but other colors would fade or become patchy

Professional painters wear white suits over their clothes that are made of a double sided paper with a thin kind of plastic on one side to keep the paint out if it get's wet.
I don't know about painters wearing white clothing?

Because white is easier to ash,doesn't cost much,and if you had a red smock then why paint and use a good smock just to splatter paint around on it?

I often wonder this same thing?... I think if they are real careful, the clothes stay clean, and then it proves how good they are at their job?

White is a cheap, natural color. Why pay for dye when there is going to have paint on it?

Same reason drywall finishers wear them. They show anything, so their wives know they have been at work and not the bar.

we only do when using white paint (very common), that way our clothes always look new -- roll a lttle here, brush on a little there
