A newspaper and GLASS CLEANER? For a LCD monitor? What were you thinking? You're going to either hafta live with it, or buy yourself a new one. Oh, and a tip for the future, don't use newspaper and/or glass cleaner to clean your monitor. Water works perfectly.

Are thes black pots on your screen or it is like that these spots are turned off ?

The LCD is very sensitive you must clean it very carfully ,Sony corporation has a kind of liquid that is for cleaning LCD's i think the price is 20$ but if it is just dirt.

Lots of little square liquid transistors are building the LCD screen , if you push too hard or scratch the surface they may be damaged , and I dont think that you can fix it if it has happened.
