If you don't want to read the analysis, the picks are: Arizona, Tampa, Minnesota, Washington, Kansas City, Baltimore, Jacksonville, New York Jets
Arizona is not an up-and-coming playoff team if they still have the O-line that was the worst in the NFL last year.
Tampa Bay's offensive stars are either too old (Alstott, McCardell), vastly overrated (Cadillac), or borderline incompetent (Simms). Their defense might need an influx of young talent, too.
None of the teams in NFC North besides the Bears are highly rated, and they deserve their rating. I guess the Vikings are the most overrated because most people have them equal to or above the Packers and Lions. I think they will finish last in the division.
The Redskins are, in my mind, the most overrated team in the NFC. I can think of at least 6 backup QBs better than Brunell. Their defense is not that great and their wide receivers are not going to make the difficult catches this year.
I think all of AFC West is overrated, but the most overrated is Kansas City. Larry Johnson will only be able to do so much when Trent Green finishes his decline. They still have no defense.
Baltimore has been predicted to win their division (and the conference) by several pundits. They will finish last. Trust me on this. I have been a McNair fan for a long time, but he needs to hang it up. Jamal Lewis will never be the same runner that he was and I am not sold on Ray Lewis being healthy again.
I think that Indy, Houston, and the Titans are all underrated, so the AFC South's most overrated has to be Jacksonville. I like the team, but a team can only go so far without having a RB or a WR step up.
Finally, the AFC East's most overrated team is the Jets. They are from New York; expectations for them are always too high.

NFC First
East - Redskins - Their defense isn't great. They have holes in the D-line and O-line. Do I need to say much more?
North - Lions, I've heard people say they will go to the playoffs this year and one guy asked on here if they could go to the Superbowl! It's not happening!
South - Falcons - There QB, Michael Vick, isn't what they thought he would be.
WEST - Seahawks - They couldn't do it last year and didn't get any better. Don't expect last year's running game to happen again.
AFC
East - Patriots - They are a good team that will fight to the end, but they are not going very far in the playoffs this year. They lost some key players and players are getting older.
North - Ravens - Mcnair isn't the QB he once was and even if he has some gas left in the tank, it's far too late. Jamal Lewis just can't do it anymore, the other RB isn't going to do anything. The division is very tough and they are not tough enough for it.
South - Colts - Last year great start was due to their running game with Edgerrin James, but he's gone now and I don't think they'll have the running game they need to get it going.
West - Chiefs - Larry Johnson is a great running back, but the O-line won't hold it's own for him, their aging and Roaf is gone. Trent Green is in major decline. The defense is still the same, terrible.

NFC North- Vikings its tough because none of these teams people really think will do much
NFC South- Tampa Chris Simms is not ready to be NFL QB
NFC West- Cardinals they have the weapons to be good but they have to prove it and keep Warner healthy
AFC East- Patriots another year older, Contract problems with Branch, health issues with Bruschi
AFC South- Colts the only reason they are overrated is they are the favorite to win the Super Bowl and they lost Edge they are still a good team but they wont live up to expections
AFC North- Ravens McNair hasnt been a good QB in his last 2 years
AFC West- Denver Jake the snake is an game changing interception waiting to happen

AFC EAST) Patriots, because anything but winning the superbowl is a let down for this team
AFC NORTH) Pittsburgh, because if they don't win the superbowl ( and they won't) their season is a let down as well.
AFC SOUTH) Indianapolis, because Manning won't have the same success he had when he had James, even if it looks that way in preseason...o and they won't win the superbowl.
AFC WEST) Kansas City, LJ is not Priest Holmes and everyone is going to see that this year just like when they saw Willis Mcghee be average last year.
NFC EAST) Dallas, TO won't make that big of a diffrence to this team and they will struggle to be 9-6 wildcard at best.
NFC NORTH) Chicago, Their D-Fense is a year older and slower and won't be the 13 points a game defense they were a year ago and their poor offense will be finally seen by all.
NFC SOUTH) Carolina, They got Johnson which is going to turn out to be the worst thing they could have done because of the problems he is going to cause in the clubhouse. They should have went after a guy like Isaac Bruce, or Eric Moulds and became a true superbowl team.
NFC WEST) Arizona, For all the hype of this offense they are still missing the most important part a QB. Maybe in a year or two when Matt becomes a starter we can start talking about this team making the playoffs but not this year.

NFC North - Lions. communicate some dysfunctional team. Stafford stayed healthy final season, however the offensive line nevertheless hasn't been mounted. there is not any telling while he gets injury lower back. The secondary remains a concern. NFC South - Panthers. i'm gonna use this spot to look after the Falcons in spite of the undeniable fact that. Hit the height? in case you have been paying interest, you will know that Mularkey and Van Gorder are long gone. Atlanta's stronger critically, and it rather is obvious that the two coordinators have been bringing the gang down. Ryan's numbers have stronger according to annum, and he seems much greater clever getting into this season with the completed administration of the offense (hurry up offense is his uniqueness) NFC East - Eagles. I consider you. human beings are hyping them up lower back. NFC West - no person. 49ers are ranked nicely, and the different 3 communities are poor. AFC North - Bengals. Dalton and AJ are super. yet what approximately all and sundry else? AFC South - Colts. Andrew luck had one sturdy preseason interest and human beings are already watching for him to interrupt Peyton's information. they are smoking some thing humorous in Indianapolis. AFC East - Jets. disaster in basic terms waiting to take place. costs take 2d place in AFC East. AFC West - Chargers. Norv Turner's carried out, and the front workplace did no longer do something to help out Rivers. they actually made issues worse via letting Vincent Jackson walk. they're going to be rebuilding in a season or 2, and that i do no longer think of Rivers is making plans to stay.
