Does this screaming/raging happen in a pattern? As in, is she ok for two, three weeks and then angry for one to two weeks right before her period? She could have PMDD. PMDD is sort of like PMS on major steroids and in simple terms it's her body's reaction to to being oversensitive to "normal" hormonal changes in a woman's body during the monthly cycle. Chemically it's a severe shortage of serotonin brought on by stress.
It cannot be cured but CAN be successfully managed through nutrition, supplements, exercise and lifestyle/stress management. The cyclical nature often fools doctors into thinking it's Bi-polar and unfortunately antidepressants can make it worse in the long run. Have her do some research on it if this is ringing any bells. There is also a Yahoo support group for women with PMDD called PMDD_solutions.

A better question is What kind of medicine is she taking... is it a prescibed narcotic or not.....and where did she get it from. On the other hand. Have you tried being more sensitive... maybe you are a bit rough around the edges...reallly it takes practice to compliment each others personality and sometimes you have to give just as much and you want to recieve...try talking to her, lay out ground rules...like no screaming or intentional insensitivity

Wow, she could be stressed out. Sit down with her, and let her vent.
Maybe you guys should get counseling? I know it is suggested a lot, but I know spouses can feel unappreciated sometimes.
See if you can help her out with some of the things she normally does, like making the bed, or sorting the laundry (Don't do it though, you might throw off her mojo) or doing the dishes, or even emptying the dishwasher.
Good luck, Hon!

Sounds like she has a anger problem. And takes medicine? Like in self medicating or meds that are prescribed for her? Either way meds should be taken as prescribed. Sounds like you to need to talk about this angeri ssue and maybe she should seek some proffesional help with this..

Your wife obiviously has some issues... It sounds like she is a addicted to her medication....
I would sit your wife down and have a serious talk about the situation... Tell her that you are concerned about how she is taking medication every time she is upset... Try to go with her to her next doctors appointment and speak with her doctor... This can become a serious problem, if it already isn't.....
Good Luck!

Well what kind of medicine is she taking? Sometimes people take advantage of a situation just to take pills because they feel it is easier to eat a pill than to sit down "calmly" and discuss what has upset her so bad. Next time you think it is goin to upset her try talking to her first calmly and see if that will help! Good Luck!!!

Your wife has a mental problem. Since she is taking medication I assume she is under a doctors care. I would check with said doctor and let them know what is happening.

Maybe if she took the medicine first it would keep her from screaming.

Your wife needs some help...take her to a psychologist or some mental professional that will help her to vent her anger in a more constructive way.
