It depends on whether they are cynical just about certain subjects or about everything. Someone who is cynical about religion or politics can be a good discussion partner on those subjects as long as he is willing to listen to your arguments. But someone who is cynical about everything, who is always pessimistic, might be too depressing to talk to for very long.

occasionally it is fun...if I'm in a crazy mood feeling like pushing someones buttons--they usually think that they are smarter than everyone else around them and I know that's not true.


but usually I avoid cynical people--they take the joy out of life
