i have a dell dektop demension 4550 how do i get it like it was when i first bought it? thanks

Dell usually provides recovery CD's, use them and follow the instructions on them.

You have to use the system restore disk's that come with computer.This is what you do

1.insert the first disk then turn the computer on and hit ESC.Or if you can't put the disk in before you turn the computer on just hist ESC then put the CD in.

2.follow the institutions the computer gives you.

You should have a CD that shipped with your computer (I think it's light blue, since you have a Dell). That CD should contain all the drivers, etc. that were originally on your computer.

Use your recovery cd here is a picture of how it should look http://support.dell.com/support/kb/images/103450017.gif but insted its windows xp just put that in your drive ans there you will have a fresh install with factory defaults.
