All I see as my graphic card is "Intel(r) 82852/82855 gm/gme graphixs controllers", other than that I can't seem to figure what my graphic hardware is on my laptop. But if that is my laptop's graphic hardward how good is it for playing video games. Games like the sims, or the sims 2... not half life 2 or any other powerful games.

Hi Cris,

Check out your system specs the easy way. This test is very good and I've tested several machines with it. Results are quite accurate. The systems that have some RED marks in the result may run the game but painfully slow. Be aware that expansions to Sims 2 will need yet more resources:

My laptop doesn't have recommended specs so it takes almost 2 or three minutes for 'neighborhood' views to change. It's not a deal breaker but since I do have faster machines, I can't see using a machine that is barely adequate.

After the test, check to see which parts of your machine are failing or could use a little upgrading. If a lot of stuff is below spec, it would be cheaper to buy a new machine. I "roll my own" so doing upgrades to get a gaming machine can be pretty expensive unless one can get a great deal on parts!

Good luck!

this graphics card has about 32MB of graphical memory, so if u ty and play sim2 hl2 the game will really lag. or u would have to have the graphical settings so low..
since the average graphics card on a pc is now 256MB notice the difference...
