Yep! Mine did it too. Put A & D ointment on it, then after 3 or 4 days put lotion on it. Also if you are wearing clothes over it, It might irritate it, put Plastic wrap and A&D on it.
PS Allways wash your hands before touching it!
BTW, what did you get?

No redness? Not sore or inflamed? If it is just scabbly and the scabs are falling off leaving the tattoo underneath clean and visible, that's exactly what SHOULD be happening! Keep the whole area clean, wash it gently a couple of times a day and keep it as dry as possible and wear natural fibres (such as cotton) next to a healing tattoo.

It is perfectly normal it is just healing. it might do that for like a week or more. All of mine have done the same thing. Put vaselene intensive care lotion on it like 4-5 times a day. Dont scrub it and don't pick at it or else you could scar or the ink could come out and you will have to get parts of it re-done. Enjoy :)

as long as there is no redness and major swelling, your tattoo is right on track. it will get really itchy, so DON'T scratch it!!! Pat it, but not too hard. It really doesn't help (it didn't for me anyway) but it's better than scratching it and causing an infection. Let it go, make sure to wash it gently everytime you take a shower, and moisturize it!!! It will look great in another week or so!!!

Many tattoos start peeling and lifting on the 4th or 5th day but are not fully healed until the epidermis flakes off.

Yes, it's normal. It's just the dead skin peeling off. Don't scratch or rub it, just leave it alone and it will be fine.
