What's the term for a company that sells items that it doesn't keep in stock?

I know of some web-based companies that sell items (all kinds of items) but don't maintain any stock. Whenever an order is placed, the company orders the items from another company to ship directly to the customer. This avoids the overhead of maintaining an inventory. Anyone know what the term is for this?
