Yes it is a big deal. He's either scared or happy or both.

Yes men can have many reactions, when I told my guy I was pregnant, first he was calm which later turned into anger and pressure to get an abortion. Now that I'm 17 weeks he is a bit calmer now, and we have decided to stay apart for now and be the best co-parents we can. Still he is always depressed now, in any case you may feel bad for him, but if he acts like a jerk, pressures, you or is always depressed, no matter how much you care for him your child needs to come first.

I think probably most reactions are normal. I wish my guy had shown more outward emotions, but it's not in his nature. I've seen the change in him since and know how much he has been affected by the news, and how happy and excited he is, but it would be nice to see some sort of definable emotional response. Crying would have blown me away.

You go girl!

I don't know. My husband was really excited, he jumped around and picked me up and then immediately got on the phone and called like everyone under the sun to tell them. I guess tears are normal if he is an emotional guy. Congratulations and Good Luck:)

Both my son's fathers did. But for different reasons. The first didn't want another child and the second was beyond happy to be able to have his first kid (doctors said that his sperm was insufficiant). Depends on the situation, the person, and why they were crying.

What is normal depends on what's normal for the person doing it. If he cried, maybe he was happy or maybe he thinks you betrayed him. Believe me, it's okay for a man to cry if he feels emotion.

He's either happy or upset.

He may be very excited and proud, but he could but upset thinking 'I hope I didn't ruin her life, why did I do this to her! I LOVE her!'

But I bet he is truely happy, isn't he? Depends on his body language during/after him crying.

When you find out that your pregnant, you get to experience every emotion that exists at once. It can be a very overwhelming experience that leads to tears, even for men.
