Race gives us cultural values, which gives us distinction and a sense of belonging. We are all human and we all live on the same planet and we all have the same needs and the same problems. Not all cultures have the same needs and the same problems at the same time; therefore, from that standpoint race is important. On a global basis, race is irrelevent because on a global basis there are ongoing needs and problems that are common to all races that need to be addressed at the global level. This was the reason why the UN was established. The UN has not worked very well because the ambassadors receive their instructions from their home governments which use the UN as political forum---the communist are famous for this. God foresaw all this happening when he separated mankind at the Tower of Babel. Mankind will never revert to its original race, but eventually it will will be united under the Godhead of Jesus Christ. All races will some day live in perfect peace and harmony during the millennium kingdom of Jesus Christ. Until such time we need to tolerate our differences as best we can. As a minister of the gospel I minister a wide variety of races and beliefs---that is what God has ordained me to do. When I look at a group of people all I see is souls that have either been won for Christ or souls that need to be won for Christ---I could care less about what color the body is, its gender, where it came from or what its past is. My only concern is about where that soul is going. It would be nice if all ministers and priests could adopt the same behavior. My hope is for a perfect world ruled by Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Jesus loves you.

Ideally it shouldn't be but sadly in the real world it means a great deal to some people. But there isn't a good reason to base any opinions on race alone. Many times opinions are based on other factors and the recipient blames it on race as a convenient excuse. For example I had a student last year who failed my class by quite a large margin (her total percentage for the year was 26%) When she received her deserved "F" she immediately blamed in on the fact that her race was different than mine. I pointed out that she only turned in 19% of her required work, she had 32 tardies to my class, she missed 57 days of a 180 day school year, and she failed EVERY quiz, exam, and project assigned. However in her mind it was due to her race. So to HER, race was very important--to me her race meant nothing. She was simply a lazy person who was accustomed to making a lot of bad decisions in her life and blaiming the consequences for her poor decisions-making skills on her race. As a teacher, I see that ALL the time.

Race isn't important ,cultural may be more important than anything in the division of races. Not knowing about each other ,not having an open mind to the cultural differences of each race.and prejudgment of others based on misconception's and out and out lies, fabricated by and repeated by people who's only goal in life is to feel better about their own place in life by putting down all others,

No. In all honesty, we all carry the same kind of genes. It's just which ones are expressed that make us who we are. The first people would have had medium colored skin, brown eyes and hair. This is because from those genes, any skin, eye, and hair color can be expressed. People who moved to the north had skin that got lighter and hair and eyes that got lighter as well. Those who moved South, to the heat of Africa and such, developed darker skin, eyes, and hair to protect from the intense sunlight. So really, this whole "race" thing is made up by those who want to control other people. There really is no such thing.

We are not the same; that is what makes the world so interesting. Yet we are very similiar; which is why we should celebrate and enjoy the variety of the human race.

Race is important. It is an important part of every individual's identity. What is important is not to pre-judge based on race, gender, ethnic origin, etc.

I believe it has more to do with cultural differences. Some cultures (or races) have customs that other races do not understand. That is where the problem lays.
